I sat at the empty venue after it was all over, all alone with a cup of hot camomile tea.

There is something very calming, relaxing and therapeutic sitting in the emptiness after all the bustle had died down.

Very unfortunately, I also get emotional at work.

Today was one of those days I got totally shitted off.

I could feel the anger, frustrations, tears, you name them.

After leaving the student life a good 7 years ago, as I packed away the books, the studying brain got packed up too.

Had a work trip to Sydney.

Been a while since I did an overnighter.

It's been a long 2 days. Early start and late finish. But it was great getting to mingle with the rest of the team in an out-of-office context, getting to know a bit more about them.

The new manager might have found me amusing.

I had been thinking about colouring my hair again. I'm not talking brown or red highlights. My natural hair has brown and red in them for goodness sake. As a 8 year old once pointed out to me some 16 years ago,"为什么你的头发那么多颜色的?!"

Told the boss I'd work half a day from home today.

It's a privilege to be able to do that now with the job scope and the style of management.

This gives a lot of flexibility when things need to be done in the house by others who also work Monday to Friday, 8-6, and someone needs to be in the house overseeing the work.

The restructure is still ongoing and I will be reporting to a new manager, immediately, soon,?, I am not sure.

He seems nice on first meeting.

The change means bigger and more responsibilities for me.
